The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has asked the Edo State chairman of the party, Anselm Ojezua to take a break from his duty pending the resolution of the crises rocking the state chapter of the party.
Recall that the crises rocking APC in Edo state had led to the suspension of the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole; the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki; the deputy governor, Philip Shuaibu; and the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie from all state party activities due to their alleged contributions in the party’s crises.
Lanre Issa-Onilu, APC National Publicity Secretary stated that the meeting of the NWC, which held Wednesday, at the Party’s National Secretariat received a notification of the suspension of the Edo State APC Chairman, Anslem Ojezua by eleven (11) of the sixteen (16) Members of the Edo State Working Committee (SWC).
“However, the National Working Committee (NWC) has also constituted a fact-finding and reconciliation committee of party leaders to meet with all disputing parties to ensure that all issues affecting the Edo State chapter of the party are addressed and resolved.” Issa-Onilu said.
