Breaking: Bello meets Buhari, says North Central deserves 2023 presidency more than South East

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has said the North-Central region is more deserving of the Presidency in 2023 than the South-East geo-political zone.

The governor said this today, Tuesday, February 15 while speaking to state house correspondents after visiting President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Governor averred that the North-Central has been the most marginalized since 1960 when the country attained its independence.

The Governor, who was at the State House to brief the President on the state of insecurity in Kogi, said the North-Central has never produced the president nor vice president of the country, and it was only fair that it produces the next President of the country in the 2023 general elections.

The governor is hoping to clinch the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket to enable him via for the country’s top job next year.
