Breaking: Lagos state discharges 21 more Covid-19 patients

The Lagos state government has announced the discharge 21 more COVID-19 patients from its isolation centers to reunite with the society after they tested negative twice consecutively.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a statement released on Sunday.

According to him, the discharged patients, who are all Nigerians, were made up of 17 males and 4 females.

Three of them were discharged from Onikan, one from Eti-Osa (LandMark), one from First Cardiology Hospital (an accredited private Isolation facility), six from Lekki and 10 from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation Centres.

“With this, the total number of cases successfully managed and discharged from isolation facilities has risen to 469.’’

The Governor charged Lagosians to “remember to practice hand hygiene, join our #MaskUpLagos campaign by using a facemask especially when outdoor and do not forget to observe strictly the Social Distancing principle.

“Together we can break the chain of transmission #ForADiseaseFreeLagos #ForAGreaterLagos”, Sanwo-Olu said.
