Breaking: NCDC reports an error, uploads the correction

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Sunday night, May 10th reported 248 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country.

The NCDC reported that the new cases were recorded 16 states and the federal capital territory as seen below.

Discharged: 778
Deaths: 143″

However, the agency also reported that there was a mistake in what was reported on the previous day, Saturday, May 9th.

According to the NCDC, “On the 9th on May, we announced 45 discharged cases & 4 deaths in FCT.
“Due to system error, 32 discharged cases and 2 deaths were wrongly announced
“Therefore, FCT recorded 13 discharged cases & 2 deaths on May 9 2020
We apologise to @OfficialFCTA for this error

“The NCDC remains committed to providing valid and accurate data.”
