The Appeal Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Friday ruled against the case filed by the suspended Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus against the party and 12 others.
The court ruled that the National Convention of party can go on.
Secondus is seeking the suspension of the forthcoming convention scheduled for this weekend pending the determination of the substantive appeal.
Justice Gabriel Kolawale delivered the ruling on Friday.
The Appeal Court dismissed the application brought before the court by Secondus seeking to stop the convention from taking place.
The panel ruled that the PDP’s convention scheduled for Saturday should go on.
The PDP had said it would go on with its congress, as the governors elected under the platform of the party are shopping for consensus candidates for the various offices of the party.
