The Kano state police command has confirmed the arrest of 30 footballers who flouted the lockdown order issued by the state government over the outbreak of Coronavirus in the state.
The spokesperson of the Command, Abdullahi Haruna who confirmed the arrest said they were identified as the footballers who participated in a football match at Dala Local Government Area (LGA) of the state, in violation of the lockdown and social distancing order.
The footballers were arrested on Monday April 20, and they will be prosecuted in court after investigation has been concluded.
