Corps member commits suicide, see note she left her mum, dad and siblings

A corps member identified as Princess Bolufemi Motunrayo has reportedly killed herself after leaving a note for parents and siblings.

The National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) Batch C member who was serving in Girls Secondary School, Ibagwa-Aka, Enugu State, was a Banking and Finance graduate of Kogi State University before drinking two bottles of a poisonous substance, on Friday, January 10, 2020.

In the suicide note addressed to her family members, she wrote; “I did this because I see nothing worth living for in this world.”

She also went on to tell her parents and siblings that she loves them, asking her siblings to take care till they meet where they will part no more.

“MUMMY I LOVE YOU.
DADDY I LOVE YOU.
MATHEW AND JOHN, YOU GUY SHOULD TAKE CARE, WE WILL MEET, WHERE WE WILL DEPART NO MORE. I LOVE YOU GUYS” She wrote

While confirming the incident, Ebere Amaraizu, the Enugu State Police Public Relations Office (PPRO) told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview on Saturday that they have received the report and have commenced investigation into her death.

“Yes, police have gotten a report of one Princess Motunrayo Bolufemi, a Batch C youth corps member serving in Girls Secondary School, Ibagwa-Aka who committed suicide. It’s unfortunate.

“Police have already commenced investigations on circumstances surrounding her death which happened on Friday Jan. 10, ” he said.
