Ex-girlfriend of Alexis Mac Allister seeks £4.5 million in compensation for dumping her for another woman

Camila Mayan, the ex-girlfriend of Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, has demanded a huge compensation of $6million (£4.5m) from him in the lawsuit she filed following their split in 2022, a report has revealed.

The 26-year-old Argentine midfielder broke his five-year relationship with Mayan just days after winning the World Cup in 2022.

Mac Allister, in March, made it known that he would soon become a father with his new girlfriend Ailen Cova, who became his new flame shortly after his relationship with Mayan ended.

Mayan claimed he cheated on her and dumped her so that he could be in a relationship with Cova.

She sued Mac Allister and lodged a compensation claim for the years they shared as a couple while living abroad, and she is also demanding $250,000 (£185,000), which amounts to $6m (£4.5m).

The court has now ruled that the case will be heard in England, which promises to mark a setback in her legal efforts against Mac Allister.

Speaking about her ongoing court battle to A la Tarde via Paparazzi, she said: ‘Everything’s fine, we’re seeing what we do next. Before going elsewhere, there are other options. You don’t necessarily have to go directly… I’ll see what I do.’

On the court ruling, Mayan added: ‘It’s more of the same. We all know that things in the courts can take a long time, so it’s normal, right? I don’t have any contacts in the courts, I don’t know them.’

Mac Allister first addressed the lawsuit in November 2024, insisting it was a matter of waiting patiently to discover the court’s verdict.

Speaking from his car as he left a restaurant, the midfielder said: ‘There was no more relationship.

‘She took her path, I took mine, and that’s it. As for the other thing (the lawsuit), everything is in court, where it should be, and we are waiting.’

When questioned about the allegations Mayan had made, which included him being unfaithful to her and keeping her belongings, he simply replied: ‘I think it’s normal in a relationship – she made the decision to come out and make public things that she felt or that she believes happened, but I know how things went and that’s why I’m very calm.’

Mayan addressed Mac Allister’s comments in her interview and added: ‘Sorry? I didn’t say anything when he was with someone else; it came out somewhere else.

‘I learned a lot of things from TV. The other day, someone close to him talked about getting married. I didn’t say that.

‘I have to swallow all this, but I’m not the one who goes around telling the press things. They want to make me look like a media figure because it looks better on them.’
