Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello has spoken for the first time since after her prosecution for breaking the lockdown order in Lagos state.
The actress and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello aka JJC Skillz were sentenced to 14-day community service and fined N100,000 each for hosting a birthday party which was attended by more than 20 persons .
In a COVID-19 sensitisation video released on Sunday via her Social Media platforms, the actress said: “These past few weeks have been a learning curve but we must keep moving forward.
“My dear friends, coronavirus is real. We must collaborate with the Lagos State Government and Federal Government by staying at home, staying safe.”
After sharing the video, Nigerians took to Twitter to show her love and solidarity. Many praised her boldness for brushing off her mistake and coming back stronger.
