A woman who lives in Owerri has been accused of physically abusing her 2-year-old niece (her brother’s daughter) who lives with her.
A Facebook user who narrated what happened revealed that the toddler’s mother had died at birth and her father who is outside the country left the baby with his sister to take care of. Unforturnately, her sister who also has her own kids has been maltreating the child.
The one that drove Debbi to raise alarm on Facebook was after the abusive woman mercilessly beat the baby with a cane for allegedly ‘stealing’ meat from the pot.
Sharing the photos of abused child, Debbi wrote:
This is what my own neighbour did to her little niece (her brother’s daughter). The little girl (2 yrs) lost her mother at birth, her aunt gave her this beating claiming this little girl stole meat from her pot of soup, even after confronting her last night(11/03/2020), she feigned repentance but promised to worse to the child this morning, such height of wickedness, this child needs help. I thought this only happens in movies but I’ve seen it in real life, the thing no give me mouth to cry. To all the mothers alive, u will live long to see your children grow to the point where they can defend themselves! My own neighbour for owerri oo
Another person who shared the photos of the little girl also shared similar story, adding that the abusive woman always accused the little girl of being a witch and begged those who can help, to rescue the toddler from the nightmare she lives in.
She wrote: I pray for every mother,u shall not die and leave your children with monsters in human form..
This is a picture of a 2yrs old baby girl,her mom died during her birth(RIP),the baby stays with her father’s sister,her dad is abroad,she doesn’t feed this baby,she goes out with her children and lives the child in the house alone,she doesn’t feed this child,the last one that was unforgivable was when this child out of hunger took meat from her pot,she beat a 2yrs old with a cane that she can’t use on her own children,she says the child is possessed, from the picture you see the baby’s swollen eyes,how can a human being be so heartless and wicked,this baby suffers on a regular,I am lost on how to help,so I am sharing this picture so anyone who has a means to help, please do,so an innocent children with a bright future won’t starve to death,or die of pain..
