Controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has slammed The Nation for reporting claims that Hushpuppi is being extradited to Nigeria.
The Nation had reported that the Commissioner of Police (CP) INTERPOL, Garba Umar, said: “It is true that Hushpuppi was arrested by the INTERPOL. We are currently working on bringing him to Nigeria to face charges of fraud.”
However, Kemi claims that Hushpuppi cannot be brought back to Nigeria because he is no longer a Nigerian citizen and the fraud he was arrested for was allegedly committed in the United States, not Nigeria.
Kemi Olunloyo wrote: “Wellness us when a leading newspaper is Transparent. News is suppressed in Nigeria. I was the first to break this story to you and will not stop with the details.
