Man calls out GTB over careless deductions

A man has cried out to Guaranteed Trust Bank (GTB) regarding unannounced deduction from his bank account without receiving any benefit.

The GTB customer who goes by the name Oghene Azubuike on Twitter related his experience on with the bank via his Twitter page on Wednesday, 12th April.

According to the complainant, a total of N6,000 was deducted from his account within a space of approximately one week. He explained that he had recharged a SIM with N3,000 from his GTB account, but the number did not receive the airtime even though his bank account was debited; and he wasn’t refunded.

The next development that sparked his reaction was seeing that another N3,000 had deducted from his GTB account, and this time he did not carryout any transaction on the day of the deduction.

He wrote about the next situation: “#gtbank i called your customer’s care today to complain about this reckless deduction from my account and you people wasted 1k airtime for me without picking up the cal What kind of bank is this. return my money to me #gtbank.”
