Niger state lifts ban on Juma’at Prayers despite 2 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases

Despite having two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Niger state, the state government on Friday morning lifted the earlier announced lockdown order to allow the weekly Juma’at congregational prayers.

The announcement was made on the Twitter handle of the Niger State governor, Abubakar Sani Bello.

The tweet reads: ”The sermon and prayers are to be conducted within thirty minutes; Muslims are advised to adhere strictly to the precautionary measures taken by Government on the containment of coronavirus pandemic in the State.”
