Ondo Police Rescue 8, Out of 25, Kidnapped CAC Members

After a kidnap on Friday, which involved some members of CAC, the Ondo State Police Command said it had saved eight persons out of twenty-five people who were held hostage on Saturday.

The kidnappers who were believed to be gunmen had kidnapped Twenty-five members of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Igan, Akure, Ondo State.

The CAC choristers who were the victims had reported that the incidents were right on the Benin-Akure Expressway, around the Ifon area in the Ose Local Government Area of the state.

The Choristers had set out for a burial at Ifon but were attacked on the road and dragged to a strange destination in the bush.

The development report from Mrs. Odunlami, the state Police Public Relations Officer, verified eight victims were rescued and they are eagerly working to see to the rescue of the remaining hostage.
