The Plateau State Police Command is set to arraign 22 suspects before the state High Court Today, July 10, 2025, in connection with a mob attack that occurred on June 21, 2025, in Mangun community, Mangu Local Government Area.
A 31-member group of wedding guests travelling from Basawa community in Zaria, Kaduna State, en route to Qua’an Pan LGA of Plateau State, were attc@cked by a mob in Mangun, leading to the de@th of 13 of the travellers on June 21.
The victims reportedly lost their way and stopped to ask for directions in Mangun village when they were attacked by the mob, which led to the death of 13 people, including women and children.
In a statement released, the state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Alfred Alabo, said the suspects will be arraigned before the state High court.
