The police in Abuja have also reacted to the trending rape accusations against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of CommonWealth Zion Assembly (COZA).
Police commissioner Bala Ciroma told journalists on Saturday that the police usually require complaints from victims or witnesses or both to proceed with criminal action or rape charges against a alleged rapist.
“They should file a formal complaint,” Mr Ciroma said. “And then the police can see how to proceed from there.”
Pastor Fatoyinbo, the founder and senior preacher of COZA has been a subject of public derision since Friday morning after a video interview of Busola Dakolo, in which she accused him of raping her, was published online.
