Police urges public to co-operate in locating family of man killed in a motor accident in Adamawa (photo)

The Adamawa State Police is seeking the public’s help to find the family of a pedestrian killed in a motor accident in Yola.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje mentioned in a statement released by the command on Tuesday, April 4, that a Mitsubishi vehicle knocked down the yet-to-be-identified pedestrian who was crossing the road in Nguroje area of Yola.

The statement read: “On 30/3/2023 at about 11:30pm, there occurred an accident involving a Mitsubishi Vehicle with Reg. No. HJA 144 YB drove to Yola from Jada. On reaching Ngurore the vehicle suddenly knocked down a yet to be identified pedestrian who was crossing the road. 

“The Victim was rushed to State specialist Hospital, Yola but died while receiving treatment. Corpse now deposited at the hospital mortuary as his relatives could not be traced. 

“The Commissioner of police, CP Afolabi Babatola urges members of the public to help in tracing the relatives and to report at CENTRAL MOTOR TRAFFIC DIVISION.”
