Resolutions reached by Labour Party in Imo

The Imo State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) had a meeting with all their candidates on Saturday and reached some resolutions.

RESOLUTIONS REACHED AT THE LABOUR PARTY IMO STATE CHAPTER MEETING ON SATURDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER, 2022

The Labour Party, Imo State Chapter today the 3rd of September 2022 held an all important meeting comprising of members of the State Working Committee, The candidates of the party at all levels, members of the National Working Committee from Imo State and the National Vice Chairman, South East of the party at the Party’s State secretariate in Owerri.

In the course of this robust meeting which was largely peaceful and incisive, issues bothering on the party’s participation in the 2023 election and others bothering on the smooth running of the party were exhaustively deliberated on and the following far reaching decisions as encapsulated in the following resolutions were taken, viz:

  1. That the Party in Imo State is united with all her Candidates for the forthcoming 2023 election.
  2. That the Party in Imo State reaffirms and confirms that Distinguished Senator Onyewuchi Ezenwa as the highest political office holder in the State is the Apex leader of the Party in the State.
  3. That the Labour Party in Imo State condemn the recent nomination of one Mrs. Pauline Onyeka Ugochi who is politically exposed and encumbered as the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Imo State.
  4. That the Party in Imo State passes a vote of confidence on the National and State Working Committees of the Party led by Barr. Julius Abure and Dr. Ambrose Onyekwere respectively.
