They wanted to hijack PDP – Wike Speaks On Why Atiku, David Mark, Others Left PDP for ADC

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has given reasons why the former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, ex-Senate President David Mark, and others who recently left the Peoples Democratic Party exited.

According to him, they left the PDP because they could not hijack the party’s leadership.
Wike disclosed this to journalists on Thursday during a media chat.

According to him, David Mark wanted to be PDP chairman but was denied, which is why he left the party for the African Democratic Congress.

Wike urged Nigerians to consider the rationale behind the coalition, noting that it is made up of individuals who are hungry because they are no longer in power.

“Nigerians need to be careful of these group of Nigerians who are angry because they left power.

“Nigerians know everybody. For how long would you continue to deceive them? Who would want to give listening to these kind of people?” he stated.

He added that the opposition has decimated itself ahead of the general elections in 2027.

“The opposition has decimated themselves,” he said.

Recall that David Mark, Atiku, and others recently adopted the African Democratic Congress as the official political party of the coalition to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
