Trump accuses Democrats of trying to ‘steal’ the election, Twitter, Facebook flag his post

Donald Trump of the Republican Party has accused Democrats of trying to steal the election.

Trump took to Twitter to make the allegation when Democrat’s Joe Biden was leading in the poll with with 223 electoral college votes and 62.8 million popular votes against Trump who was trailing behind at 174 electoral votes and 61.2 million popular votes.

Following the early lead, Biden addressed his followers in his hometown in Wilmington, Delaware. He called for patience with the collation of the results and declared that he would win big.

In response, Trump said he would address the country. He claimed that there was an attempt to steal the election result despite no evidence of such.

His tweets read, “We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the polls are closed!
“I will be making a statement tonight. A big WIN!”

After Trump made the tweets, Twitter flagged it with a warning that the claims contained in the tweet might be misleading.

He posted the same message on Facebook and it was also flagged there.
