Uche Nwosu returns to Supreme Court, demands Uzodinma’s disqualification

Former Chief of Staff to Imo State government, Uche Nwosu has returned to the Supreme Court demanding the disqualification of Governor Hope Uzodinma, as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Nwosu is basing his suit on a Supreme court ruling of December 20, 2019 which affirmed that he was the rightful candidate of APC, and therefore disqualified on double nomination of both APC and the Action Alliance (AA).

Nwosu in a fresh suit, filed my his counsel, Mr Philip Umeadi Jnr, is asking the apex court to review its judgment that declared Uzodinma winner of the election, since he is not the authentic candidate of APC.

Nwosu, is also asking the court to enforce or direct the enforcement and or give effect to the judgment of the court delivered in December 2019, adding that Uzodinma is not the candidate of APC, and did not win the election.

Nwosu further attached to the suit, the judgement by Justice Amina Augie JSC, declaring him the candidate of two parties.

Nwosu is also asking the Supreme Court, to order INEC, to withdraw the certificate of return given to Senator Hope Uzodinma and return Ihedioha as Governor of Imo State.
