Veteran journalist and politician, Dele Momodu has mocked the alleged move by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to pressure hotels into refusing their venues for a planned meeting involving the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.
Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made the comments in reaction to claims that hotels were being threatened not to host the ADC’s planned declaration event.
In a post shared on social media, media personality Rita Ebiuwa alleged: “APC is jittery. Threatening hotels not to allow their facilities to be used for today’s ADC adoption is ridiculous.”
Reacting to the development, Momodu questioned the ruling party’s confidence, writing: “Why are they worried about a coalition they boasted is ‘dead on arrival’…? Many of their supporters have privately told me they’re truly scandalized by the shenanigans of their overzealous members.”
