A young man suspected to be an internet fraudster (Yahoo Boy), was reportedly nabbed with his girlfriend’s corpse while attempting to dump the body in a bush in Delta State.
According to report, the suspect, a resident of Urhuoka, Abraka in Ethiope LGA, whose identity was not given, was caught by a passerby on Thursday evening, as he (the suspect) was attempting to dispose of the lifeless body of the lady identified as Blessing Akpovwovwo.
It was gathered that the lifeless body of the lady was intact but had blood in her private parts, giving some residents of the area who see the young man to be a fraudster, to believe that he might have killed her for rituals.
Some also claimed that the deceased was pregnant, and that the young man might have done a forced abortion on her to use the foetus for ritual purposes.
Confirming the incident, the Head of Ugono-Abraka community, Chief Samuel Umunadi, said he was intimated of the lady’s murder by some vigilantes late Thursday night.
The Delta State Police command or its spokesperson, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, is yet to comment on the incident.
