Zambarmari Massacre: More 35 decomposing bodies reportedly recovered

Not less than 35 decomposing bodies have been recovered in Zabarmari area of Jere, Borno state, according to a report by HumAngle.

The recovered bodies are said to be different from the bodies of the 43 farmers who were buried on Sunday morning after they were slaughtered by members of the Boko Haram.

HumAngle reports that the newly discovered victims were buried at the spot because the search team was unable to move the badly decapitated and decomposing bodies.

On Saturday, November 28, Boko Haram members attacked farmers in Zabarmari who were harvesting rice.

Many of the farmers, some of whom are said to be Internally Displaced Persons, are said to be missing. There are fears that the death toll from the incident will rise up as the days go by.
