Nigerian-American Remi Duyile sworn in as first USA African-born commissioner

A Nigerian-American, Remi Duyile has been made a commissioner in Prince George’s County.

The new commissioner on the county’s Multicultural Affairs Commission is a former vice president of the Bank of America

Remi Duyile was sworn-in by the state’s attorney, Aisha Braveboy on Monday, September 23, in Prince George as the first Africa-born commissioner in the county.

With Nigeria’s flag flying alongside other countries’, Duyile was honoured as she made her fatherland proud of her achievement.

Duyile was sworn-in as one of the commissioners on the county’s Multicultural Affairs Commission. A delighted Duyile took to her Instagram page to share the news of her swearing-in with the caption:
