Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, has accused hackers of taking control of her Twitter and Instagram accounts and using them to announce that 333 students abducted in Katsina had been rescued.
Less than an hour ago, the official Twitter handle of the NiDCOM boss had announced,
“Yaaaay . The 333 boys captured in katsina have been rescued . Allhamdulilah ! @MBuhari administration has brought back our boys. #BringBackOurBoys . Our boys are back“
The news travelled very quickly before she made the second tweet saying:
“Pls don’t credit any post on katsina boys to my twitter handle. I lost control of my handle in the last couple of minutes, along with my Instagram. I have recovered and changed my password”
Well, some Nigerians didn’t believe her rebuttal and called her out for allegedly using the first tweet to lying and deceive Nigerians.
