American singer, Rihanna has reminded Nigerian government that they cannot charge arrested protesters of committing any offence for going on a peaceful protest.
About 40 protesters, including Comedian, Mr Macaroni, were arrested on Saturday morning for going on #OccupyLekkiTollGate protest to demand that justice must be done on the incident of October 20, 20202 where #EndSARS protesters were shot at by officers of the Nigerian Army.
It was gathered that the protesters were charged for:
1. Breaking the 50 person COVID gathering limits
2. Breaking order not to protest.
While, retweeting a tweet from Amnesty Internation Nigeria on Saturday evening, Rihanna said, “Peaceful protest is human right!!”
