Video: Gov. Ben Ayade begs residents of Cross River not to burn down the state

Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade has begged residents of the state not destroy the state.

His plea follows the recent rise in looting destruction and buning of property in the state despite a 24-hour curfew he declared on Friday.

In a video broadcast he did on Saturday, The Governor said:

I believe that Cross Riverians should all rise, young and old, to defend our state. If it burns to ruins, we have no other state to call our own.

“It’s time to rise and defend our state. It is not good to throw away the child with the bad water. Please protect the motherland. Protest your state. So that as a young man you become a leader tomorrow, you can also pass the lessons.”
