Business owners and residents around popular Hardel junction in Orji, Owerri North LGA were shocked on Friday morning to find a new born baby on the road.
The baby which had already died before being discovered was left inside a used carton.
According to eyewitnesses, the child was probably born in the early hours of the morning as the blood on the body was still looking fresh.
An Eye witness who didn’t want her name mentioned, said “When we got there the baby was already dead, but i believe this baby was delivered this morning because there is still blood on her body. We all have laid curses on whoever did this, it shall never be well with him/her. this is not the first time this kind of incident is happening here at Hardel.”
