Nigeria recorded 229 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, 25th, taking the total number of cases in the country to 8068.
According to the updates from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Lagos state which is the country’s epicentre recorded 90 new cases, followed by Katsina with 27 new cases.
However, to the surprise of many, Imo state recorded a whopping 26 cases in one day, an increase of over 350% percent of the previous total number of cases in the state.
With the number of new cases, total number of cases in the state moved from 7 to 33 in one day, despite not recording any new case in days.
