Nigerians finger Miyetti Allah for negotiating release of Kankara Boys, Omokri disagrees

Some Nigerians are raising suspicion over the involvement of the Miyetti Allah group in the negotiation with bandits who kidnapped the students of Government Science Secondary School Kankara, Katsina State.

The students were since released on Thursday night and met Governor Aminu Masari after they arrived Katsina on Friday morning.

Some think that the Miyetti Allah which is an advocacy group for Fulani Herdsmen may have a link with the bandits who are terrorizing states in the North Western part of the country, for them to have access to negotiate release of the students.

But former Presidential spokesman, Reno Omokri believes that the people who are opposing the move are doing so because it involves other people’s children. According to him, even though he still opposes President Buhari, he can’t condemn use of Miyetti Allah because if his children were kidnapped, he would do ANYTHING to get them back.

Omokri wrote:

I oppose General #Buhari, nevertheless, I don’t condemn his use of Miyetti Allah to secure #KankaraBoys release. As a parent, if my children were among #KankaraStudents, I‘d do ANYTHING to get them back. It is easy to condemn when it is other people’s children #OurBoysAreBack

Below are some of the comments from Nigerians who are pointing accusing fingers on the Fulani group.
