The news that their husbands were taking new wives came to these Hausa women in different ways as they have revealed.
In a question and answer session with a popular Hausa blog, HausaRoom, some of the women said that their husbands informed them a day or month before the wedding, others said they weren’t told at all.
According to one woman, her husband moved her things away and renovated her apartment for the new wife while she was away.
Another woman said he told her after they finished making love and were cuddling.
Another said her husband lied about being involved in a car accident but his driver confirmed to her that he was actually getting married to another woman in Kano.
