Unknown gunmen attacked the lodges around Total petrol station in Oko, Anambra State, opened fire on residents, killing several people and kidnapping many others.
According to reports, the attack began on Thursday evening, June 19.
Federal Polytechnic Oko students who filmed the attack from their lodge captured two cars that the gunmen arrived in. The students are heard expressing fear for their lives.
Videos shared with LIB show a number of people who had been shot lying in their blood. While some were dead, others writhed in agony, but no one could risk venturing into the chaos outside to get them medical help as the shooting continued for hours. Watch the graphic video HERE.
One of those who was k!lled in the attack was identified as a man who sells barbecue in the area.
Unconfirmed reports claim some lecturers were among those kidnapped.
