Empire actor, Jussie Smollett is now engaged to his partner.
The 43-year-old ‘Empire’ actor revealed in a post on Instagram that he proposed to partner Jabari Redd and he “said yes”.
The actor has been on the news in recent for his controversial troubles for making false reports to police that he was the victim of a hate crime in January 2019. He was later sentenced to 30 months of felony probation, including 150 days in jail, and ordered to pay restitution of more than $120,000 and a $25,000 fine.
However, turning the news around him to celebratory, Jussie shared some pictures of his engagement on Instagram and wrote: “I’ll be spending my birthday with my Fiancé… He said YES.”
The series of photos showed a frame-by-frame timeline of how Jussie popped the question on a sidewalk outside a restaurant.
