Ali Baba warns people who use ‘guilt to blackmail’ when seeking help from others

Veteran stand-up comedian and actor, Ali Baba has told those who are fond of throwing caution to the wind, to also learn to live with the consequences of their actions.

Ali Baba was reaction to a post where American Music executive, Andre Harrell told his fans who might be supporting President Trump’s plans to open up the economy, to get a life insurance before they expose themselves to Coronavirus because he won’t participate in any ‘Go funding’ for anyone who deliberately walks into danger.

While reacting to Andre’s post, Ali Baba dug deep into the ‘entitlement mentality’ that has eaten deep into the Nigerian society. He spoke about parents who deliberately have many kids that they are not financially able to cater for, only for them to transfer the burden on their assumed ‘rich relatives’.

Read What Ali Baba wrote below.

“Same way, you will have your own 2 children you can manage, and one person will have 10, and still have the effrontery to say you dont like assisting people in need.
People, in need, of Konk?

“Stop using guilt to blackmail people.
When it’s an accident, we all know and understand that we should come your aid. But when you go against all warnings because you are an adult, so be it.

“Smoking kills. Anger kills. Arrogance kills. Corona kills. Irresponsible drinking kills…

“So is uncontrolled breeding. You are in one room. Your finances have not improved to room and parlour, but you managed to have 6 kids. Because its God that gives children.

“Ok. Its God that gives children. Abi? So that who will take care of them. God?
Let us all be responsible and when we fail to be responsible, let us also be responsible for our consequences.

“Many times, people who draw up their budget based on other people’s earnings, are the most bitter you will ever know.
Because, in their minds, there is no reason you should be living well when they are not.
They are the ones counting your own chicks before they are hatched.

“One guy back then, in the Oceanic Bank, quit his job and his uncle called him to ask, “So now that you quit, how will I train Tubosun (the banker’s nephew)?

“He got a job, 6 months later, his mum told her brother, who is Tubosun’s dad, of the good news. He goes, ‘We praise God, because, I am tired of borrowing”.

“Just as some states in Nigeria. They cannot internally generate N40m… but will have a population that they expect to be taken care of by other states generating their own revenue.

This is also, how other countries see Nigeria. We keep waiting for other countries to bail us out. We are busy jumping around seeking “go fund me” from IMF, China, World Bank, USA, Germany, Europe, Abacha… name it. Yet we can not do anything for ourselves.

“Cut your coat according to your cloth. So if you are damning the virus, hope you have also considered who will take on the responsibility of caring for those you care for now?

“Stop budgeting on people’s pockets. ‘I will buy a Samsung 10 when my sister gets her salary’. That’s pure Witchcraft.”
