APGA National Chairman, Ezeokenwa visits predecessor, Victor Oye

It’s worth noting that courtesy visits between political figures are common in many countries and political parties. These visits often serve to foster unity, maintain relationships, and exchange ideas between current and former leaders. They can also symbolize a smooth transition of power or signify respect for the contributions of the predecessor.

In the fore going, The National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) National Chairman pays courtesy visit to
his predecessor, Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye, At Amawbia, Anambra State yesterday. Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa undertook this epoch-making visit to his predecessor, Ozonkpu Victor Oye, at his country home in Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State. This courtesy dialogue was marked by sociability and honour.

The APGA National Chairman was accompanied on the visit by his elegant wife, Mrs. Amara Ezeokenwa, along with members of the APGA National Working Committee (NWC); the Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye; erstwhile Member, House of Representatives for Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Benjamin C Obidigwe (Akaoma Jide Aku); the Member Representing Awka North in the State Assembly, Hon.Chimezie Johnmark Ikwunne; the National President of Ohaneze Ndigbo Anambra State, Chief Emeka Udodeme (Odegba); the Member Representing Idemili South in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Ebuka Igwe; the National convener of APGA, Apostle Chief Nchekwube Anthony Dunga (Ezesinachi Amasea); the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman, Hon. Ugochukwu Obiefuna (Akalaka Umueri); and many other party stakeholders.

The visit by Barr. Ezeokenwa was motivated by the principles of Onye Agha na Nwanne ya, which represent the party’s togetherness and familial solidarity. The National Chairman had come to wish his predecessor a very happy Father’s Day, which made the visit even more necessary. During the visit, the APGA National Chairman praised Ozonkpu for his outstanding services to the party and noted the noteworthy advancements made while he served as the APGA National Chairman.

In response, Ozonkpu conveyed his sincere appreciation for the visit and vowed to
assist Barr. Ezeokenwa’s current administration with unflinching determination. He noted that the election of Barr. Ezeokenwa as National Chairman was the best choice the APGA has ever made and complimented the organization’s growth and favourable trajectory under the current leadership. Additionally, Ozonkpu praised Governor Soludo for his excellent work in Anambra, pointing out that he was well-liked by the populace and projecting that he would have a prosperous second term in light of his accomplishments.

The conversation between the party’s past and present leaders highlights the APGA’s
dedication to development, continuity, and efficient leadership. This show of respect
and cooperation provides a good example for APGA’s future efforts to serve the public and preserve the party’s fundamental principles.
