At least 95 private jets reportedly sought clearance to land at Venice’s Marco Polo Airport for the high-profile wedding of Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and former journalist Lauren Sánchez.
The lavish ceremony took place on Friday in Venice’s San Giorgio Maggiore island. The former journalist, Lauren, rocked a Dolce & Gabbana wedding gown for the union, while Bezos also wore a black tuxedo and a bow tie over a white shirt.
Reports said Bezos, 61, and Sanchez, 55, booked out the city’s finest hotels for a star-studded guest list which includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Mick Jagger, Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey and Orlando Bloom.
Ivanka Trump, the oldest daughter of US President Donald Trump, and her husband Jared Kushner and their three children also attended the star-studded union.
At least 95 private planes requested permission to land at Venice’s Marco Polo airport for the wedding, the Corriere della Sera Italian daily reported, with several mega yachts on the ground to carry guests.
