Information just reaching Expressiveinfo has it that five Members of the Imo state House of Assembly from the platform of Action Alliance (AA) has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The lawmakers announced their defections on Monday in a letter they addressed to the Speaker and read by the clerk of the House during plenary.
The 5 AA lawmakers who defected to the PDP were Mike Iheanaetu (Aboh Mbaise), Victor Onyewuchi (Owerri West), Ken Agbim (Ahiazu Mbaise) Lloyd Chukwuemeka (Owerri North) and Bruno Ukoha (Ezinihittte Mbaise)
Meanwhile, Chiji Collins (Isiala Mbano) is the sixth lawmaker that defected to the PDP. However, Hon Collins defected from APGA to PDP.
It was further gathered that the defection of Collins was to enable him to emerge the next Speaker of the Assembly.
