Breaking: Gov Wike arrives Joi Nunieh’s home, rescues her from ‘House Arrest’ (Video)

Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has rescued former acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joi Nunieh from police officers who invaded her house this morning.

We reported earlier that that police officers stormed Nunieh’s residence located at 3, Owuru Creek view, off Herbert Macaulay Street, Old GRA, Port Harcourt, early Thursday morning and prevented her from leaving her home to appear at a senate panel in Abuja investigating the activities of the agency.

As the news went viral, Governor Wike immediately mobilized security operatives to Nunieh’s residence, ordered police officers out and later drove off with her.

This comes as Minister Niger Delta Affair, Godswill Akpabio and Nunieh have been embroiled in war of words over allegations of corruption in the NDDC.

The former MD of NDDC, accused Akpabio of sexual harassment, budget padding, fraud, among others, which the Minister has since denied and accused her of having character problem.
