The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced slight change in the timetable for the 2023 general elections.
With the adjusted timetable, the presidential election formerly slated for February 18 2023 will hold on February 25, 2023. Governorship and State Assembly elections will hold on March 11.
INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu who announced the new dates in a press conference on Saturday said the shift in date became necessary after the signing of the 2022 Electoral Act Amendment Bill.
