Super Falcons of Nigeria triumphed in Abuja at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Friday after beating Ivory Coast, 2-0 at the African Women’s Cup of Nations qualifier game.
The victory came courtesy of a brace from Ifeoma Onumonu who scored at the 21st and 56th minute into the match.
Super Falcons now have an advantage heading into the return leg against the Lady Elephants.
