The second COVID-19 patient in Rivers state is set to be discharged any moment from now after testing negative twice.
Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, disclosed this in a press conference at the Government House on Friday.
He said: “The second case which was recorded and taken to the treatment center has now tested negative and will be discharged this morning, thanks to God for His mercy.”
The governor commended health officials and security operatives for the success in containing the coronavirus pandemic in the state.
This means that the state no longer have an active case as only two cases were confirmed in the state.
