Suspected assailants this morning attacked the house of the Secretary of the All Progressive Congress in Edo State, Mr. Lawrence Okah.
Okah has confirmed the attack, saying that he was lucky to be alive.
As we await the details of the attack on Mr Okah, its important to note that the rift between Governor Godwin Obaseki and his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole who is the National Chairman of the party, has created political tension, leading to violence in the state.
With the governorship election set to hold soon, it won’t be a surprise if this attack on Okah, is only the beginning of more to come.
