In what seems to be a double Saturday morning violent attack, two men were shot dead by unknown gunmen at Mgbidi Oguta Junction in Imo State.
Although the incidents may not be connected, it is worthy of note that while the shooting was taking place in Mgbidi, Governor Hope Uzodinma’s house in his hometown, Omuma in Oru East LGA was almost simultaneously burning following an attack by unknown gunmen.
The shooting incident which occurred in the full glare of passersby this morning, sent chill down the spines of those within Oguta.
Eyewitnesses report that the two men who were driving in a Toyota Camry loaded with crude oil products, probably refined from illegal bunkering, were attacked by the assailants who shot them dead and drove away immediately.
