The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has finally reacted to the trending rape saga involving Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of CommonWealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).
In their reaction, the President of CAN, Rev. Supo Ayokunle said CAN does not have control or regulate how pastors operate their churches.
The reaction which came through the Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Pastor Oladeji Adebayo, said CAN does not intervene on how pastors operate.
Adebayo who spoke to the Telegraph said: “I am sorry CAN does not intervene in how churches are running. Churches belong to denominations and these are the two bodies that regulate how pastors run their ministries, not CAN. CAN deals with intrareligious matters and stands between the church and the government.”
