COVID-19 positive son of Atiku Abubaka reportedly struggling to survive

Mohammed Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, is still battling with COVID-19 and his situation is not looking good, according to a report from investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo.

The Former vice president had on March 23rd broken the news that his son had tested positive and had been taken to the University of Abuja Specialist Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada. He has been receiving treatment since then.

However, on Sunday, April 19, Kemi Olunloyo reported that ‘Mohammaed is really struggling’.

She tweeted: “@Atiku’s son Mohammed is really struggling from #COVID19. Hope he makes it alive. His situation is poor and invasive therapy is not lowering his viral load. Still coming positive for the second time. The doctors should use while blood cells/Aggressive antivirals.”

Taking to Instagram, Kemi wished him well, saying: “Mohammed Atiku is really struggling with this #coronavirus Get well soon to him. I’m watching the therapeutic options. WBC from a treated patient is a good continuance measure. #DrKemiOlunloyo #IJCovid19”
