Chief Dele Momodu, a popular chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and media personality, has resigned from the party.
Momodu announcing his decision to dump the PDP this Thursday morning, claiming the “party has been unarguably hijacked by antidemocratic forces, from within and outside, in broad daylight.”
The resignation letter addressed to the Chairman, PDP Ward 4, Ihievbe, Owan East Local Government Area, Edo State also revealed that he is joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the party adopted by the coalition leaders for 2027 general election.
Momodu letter reads, which he shared on Instagram reads,
“I wish to inform you of my decision to resign from our political party, PDP, with immediate effect. My reason is simple and straightforward. Our party has been unarguably hijacked by antidemocratic forces, from within and outside, in broad daylight.
“It is therefore honorable to abandon the carcass of the party to them while majority of us earnestly sign up with the new coalition party known as the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
“I will forever treasure the kind support you gave me at all times.”
