Dubai returnees deny that one of them died of Covid-19, Health Commissioner retracts statement (Video)

Some of the Nigerians who were recently evacuated back to the country from Dubai, have countered Lagos health commissioner, Akin Abayomi’s claim of one of them dying from Coronavirus.

The health commissioner who announced the death of a 32-year-old man on Tuesday, May 12, said the deceased was among those who were recently evacuated from Dubai.

He was however countered by other Dubai returnees who made a video from the facility they are currently being quarantined in.

An elderly man who served as a spokesperson for the Dubai-returnees, stated that NCDC officials are yet to visit them since they returned to the country. The man further stated that there “is no truth” in claim of one of them dying from Coronavirus.
