#EdoDecides: PDP’s Obaseki defeats APC in Ize-Iyamu’s LGA

Governor Godwin Obaseki has defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Orhiomwon, the Local Government of the APC’s candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

The Independent National Electoral Commission announced that the APC polled 10,458 votes while PDP got 13,445 votes in Orhiomwon.

Ize-Iyamu hails from Iguododo in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State.

Meanwhile, the running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in the Edo governorship election, Philip Shaibu, also lost the election in his Local Government, Etsako west, to APC.

INEC’s result from Etsako West showed that PDP secured 17,959 votes and APC polled 26,140 votes.

However, Etsako West is also the LGA of former APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

So far, Obaseki is leading with a wide of margin of over 80,000 votes.
