The Emir of Daura, Umar Faruk has recovered from his ailment days after he was rushed to the Federal Medical Center, Katsina.
Although his ailment was not officially disclosed, it was widely speculated that he was infected with the dreaded coronavirus, leading to the sealing of his palace in Daura.
A source had said then;
“Emir of Daura, Alhaji Farouk Umar, was last night rushed to FMC Katsina. Presently, all of us in the palace have been told to go on self-isolation.
“The Katsina State index case, that doctor that died, interacted with the emir and his first wife, Hajia Binta, who is now dead. The index case was the personal doctor of the emir.
“The emir was advised to self-isolate after the index case died but he dismissed it and allowed free movement in the palace.”
In a new video shared online, Emir Umar Faruk was spotted sitting on a white plastic chair as people knelt to greet him at the hospital premises. He also stood at some point and walked into the hospital without any support, while those around him cheered.
